Everything we make at B and M has a story.

Our story is a bright and beautiful one that has taken dedication from every corner.

“When your vision is to be as sustainable as you possibly can, you are always reassessing every part of the supply chain and facing challenges with innovation…”

We have spent time seeking out the best factories and suppliers who are working to the highest ethical practices that evaluate fair wages, reasonable hours and working environments.
Here are some of those suppliers:

Antonia and Fritsch, Austria

When we set out to find experienced natural dyers in Europe with the ability to produce on an industrial level it wasn’t easy.
Antonia and her team through 12 years of plant dye research have helped us make our knickers a reality whilst maintaining our desire to have them manufactured in Europe.
Using their specially formulated recipes and specially adapted machines they have achieved great results. They have GOTS and OEKO TEX certification insuring non-toxic, carcinogenic or allergenic substances; formaldehyde and heavy metals are used in the dyeing process.

Nishanth, India

The journey we have been on with our bed linen has been an adventure, learning things at every step.
Bed linen is woven on large looms, which not everyone has and made with bleached fibres, which we didn’t want to use.
We were pleased to find Nishanth who was able to help us.
His passion for colour matched our own and we were able to work with him to experiment plant dyeing unbleached linen and cotton fibres so that we could bring our dream to life.
His dyes are plant based and metal free so the leftover water is used in nearby farmlands where the dyes and oils in the water play a role of natural fertilizer.
Nishanth has been assessed and approved by Impact #Workersfirst supply chains insuring highest working standards in manufacturing.

Rodrigues, Portugal

Rodrigues brings all the pieces of the garment puzzle together for the final manufacture of our beautiful knickers.
His factory is GOTS certified by EcoCert. GOTS has a strict assessment process for the facility environment and processes so we know the makers are treated fairly.
The factory is also Oeko-tex certified confirming the threads and trims are manufactured to meet the human ecological requirement of the Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex

Maria, Portugal

Maria supplies us with Modal Fabric for our knickers.  They weave this fabric from the yarns they buy from Lenzing in Germany who produces this innovative material from FSC certified beech trees.
Maria is certified to GOTS standard by Control Union issuing body.

Yaryna, Germany

When we design a product, the sourcing of every part of it is carefully investigated to find the most sustainable option so we can vouch that we have made it as sustainably as possible. Trims are no different.
Our trimmings, lace and embroidery are sourced in Germany and made using GOTs certified organic cotton.  Yarnyna and her team are certified by CERES.

George, Sri Lanka

George and his team manufacture our bed linen in Sri Lanka.
Providing his employees and supply partners with a stable and exceptional working environment that enables the business to surpass the international standards conferring to international garments industry regulations. He is regulated by WRAP with a platinum certificate of compliance.
