WOOL THE FACTS
Wool plays a huge part in Britain's history and heritage.

In a world of synthetic fibres we want Celebrate British Wool.

Since the Stone Age, it has been appreciated as one of the most effective forms of all-weather protection known to man, and science is yet to produce a fibre which matches it's unique properties.

OUR WOOL STORY

We met Peter from Yorkshire through Sarah Burnett, our plant dye guru who has been teaching us all about the magic and unpredictability of plant-dyeing. Like farm to table, farm to fibre is all about provenance. Our blue Faced Leicester wool sheep are bred in Yorkshire. Our wool is spun, plant-dyed and knitted in England.

WHY IS WOOL A SUSTAINABLE CHOICE?

Sheep are part of the natural carbon cycle, consuming the organic carbon stored in plants and converting it to wool.

Wool is fully biodegradable so does not contribute to plastic pollution like many synthetic fibres.

Every year sheep produce a new fleece; making wool a natural, renewable fibre source.

Blue faced Leicester wool is known as is the "cashmere of British wool.” All colours are achieved 100% naturally with plant-dyes, using zero chemicals in the process.
The first collection is dyed in the UK using indigo and weld grown locally. We wanted to create knitwear whilst championing the fact that eco does not mean compromising design or comfort.
